Enter the email addresses of your colleagues/friends, select whether they will be able to edit the document or just view, add a brief message description, then click share. In this example, I’m going to allow edits.

When your friend/colleague checks their email, they will be invited to open the document.

Click ‘view in OneDrive’ to open.

From here, your colleague/friend can edit or view the document. If they have Word installed on their machine, they can download and work on the document in Word 2016. If they don’t, they can work on the document online, within their web browser.

Just select the appropriate edit option in the ‘edit document’ drop down menu.
